Taylor showed how you beat Winky. I believe Calzaghe would beat Winky myself. But Hopkins is not the guy to do it. I don't see how a guy that throws so few punches can beat Winky, although I probably need to watch the Tarver fight again and try to envision which Hopkins will show up. It's always tough to call a fight when one of the combatants hasn't fought in a year (not like it matters with Hopkins though)

You're right that Trinidad got killed by Wright's jab, but thats because he fought that fight like a moron. He never even attempted to get inside on Winky. I think Hopkins has a shot if he can get inside and do some damage to the body early. I just hope its an entertaining fight.

He did attempt to get inside. Winky does just throw jabs. He throws hard straight jabs. Could realy **** up ur face.

pros and cons

Hopkins is a great fighter, but fights in spots, he likes a slower tempo so he can come on late and finish fights. Tarver gave him allot of time for him to sit bach and do that.

Winky keeps coming, he was gassed fighting taylor but taylor was in the best condition of his life i bet ya, he wanted to make a statement against wink which ended in a **** decision.

Hopkins does have good power not KO power, He can also fight inside, good technically, can switch it up he's also bigger in hight.

But Hopkins is slower, stamina is a factor, gives away early rounds, he's not a consistent fighter he never fights 3 min of every round, and i have NEVER seen anyone go to his body!!!
Winky is faster also has good power, can fight inside, has good defence, great technically, and is the bigger of the two ( he walks around at 180ish) good body puncher! younger....

Winky is has been in wars, his face swells up a bit.... that could be a factor. has a sometimes limited offence. turtles up sometimes too much. throws arm punches with not allot of power sometimes. has a tendency to be flat footed.

if Winky sets the pace and keeps at hopkins it will be a tough fight but he will break him down and take him into deep water, hopkins will come out slower and will try to steal the late rounds.... like he always does. it will be a UD winky!
