Haha, funny thread. I pick Vargas. Mayorga has impressed me more in his fights that I have seen. Vargas has a great resume and all, but his best win is a controversial MD over Winky. Mayorga barked and barked at Vernon Forrest and smashed him twice.

Vargas was competitive against Trinidad and Oscar, Mayorga wasnt. Granted it was above his best weight though.

I'd say Mayorga, in the sense that Vargas lasted longer with De la Hoya and Trinidad, if memory serves. Also, they were closer to their prims when that happened. Not to mention Vargas atleast STUNNED both of them. Mayorga gets apologetic about it too, and gets WAY too personal.
