  • The LOW BLOW had NO EFFECT on Judahs ability to knock COTTO out...

    I just rewatched it.

He had cotto buzzed, but no where NEAR knocked out or even down.

Cotto had already mostly recovered and was bravely fighting back.

If Judah hadnt gone down, he would have been caught by a few body punches and the round would have continued.

I could understand you thinking if you saw the fight live only, but rewatch it. Cotto was recovering very well, and was never badly hurt or stunned.

I love this though, all this great controversey. Every great fight needs it and this is certainly good controversy

did u even read my post?

I was talking about Cotto recovering well before the low blow.

What i mean, is that if the low blow would not have occured, Cotto would have still survived the opening round. Many people seem to think Cotto would have been knocked out, which is DEFINETLY not true at all

The low blow clearly affected Judah, and might have changed the complexion of the fight to some extent..........but the outcome would have been identical if not more brutal even without the low blow.

Cotto would knock Judah out 10 out of 10 times. The reason I think he survived so long, was that he ran away from Cotto and used Floyd like defensive maneuvers that helped absorb some of the punishment he was taking.

If he had continued to be aggressive like he was in the early rounds......he would have been knocked out cold when he made a mistake.

Either way Cotto is simply a better fighter than Judah and is better than Judah in every department except for Speed. Hands down.

He can take a better punch, is stronger, more powerful, has just as good boxing abilities, has more heart, is much more intelligent, and has much much better footwork than Judah.

And Mayweather was able to win the fight.

Here are my thoughts on the Judah camp strategy.

We all know that Cotto goes to the body.

Below the waistline is a foul. The waistline of the normal male is roughly 2 inches below the belly button.

Now the whole waistline rule is basicly set up to protect the family ***els. Nothing else.

The first low blow was not really a low blow at all. Judah even had a delayed reaction but I am sure he was told by his corner to take a dive at the first chance of anything remotely close to a low blow. I think they forgot to tell Judah not to take a dive if he had his opponent hurt. Had the first low blow really have been that painfull, Zab would have taken the five minutes allocated. I have never really ever seen anyone take the entire 5 minutes. Why? Because there is a cup there. You are not really getting hit in the nuts. You are getting hit in a protected area. It's a little discomforting but it will not prevent you from having any children in the future nor will it prevent you from continuing to fight.

Let us not be like Zab Judah and make up a million reasons why he lost the fight. Does he not always make up excuses when he loses? That is his M.O.
Don't be like him and just know that Cotto would have whooped that ass, low blows or not. Cotto has been hit with low blows and he does not lose.

Do you remember the Torres fight? Do you remember the instructions after the fourth round from Torres' corner? Take a dive if he comes close to the belt line. He did try it and it was a delayed reaction from Torres and it was rules a knock down in Cotto's favor.

The second low blow Judah recieved was low. Judah had five minutes. The ref can not force you to fight before the 5. It is the boxers decision to go on. Judah blamed the ref for so many things that went wrong in this fight.
He blamed the ref saying the ref kept telling me to stop holding. LOL that is the refs job. If you don't hold and grab, the ref will leave you alone.
Yes the ref was on Judah's ass but Judah kept ****ing up.
                Stop talking Judah.
                Stop holding Judah.
Stop leading with the head Judah.
                Watch those elbows Judah.
                Stop faking kidney punches Judah.

                Fight Judah!.
