    Berto vs rivera

I justy heard andre berto is due to fight cosma rivera.
I've never seen rivera fight but his record is **** with ten loses. So why is a prospect like berto who has 18 fights fighting a bum, i think he should be starting to fight better opposition or he may be surprised when he finally chalenges for a belt. What do you think?

i know what you mean. but rivera is a full step up from any opponent berto has fought so far.
rivera is a stand up guy and am looking forward to seeing how berto handles him.

Yeah Rivera's record does suck, but he has fought some quality opponents and should give Berto a few different challenges he hasn't faced before. Plus if he can give Berto some rounds that would be good for him.

Ok cool i've never seen him and only looked at his reocrd. At least berto's fighting someone who's actually gona throw punches back.

Yeah for sure I would like to see somebody who hits him a few times good to see how he reacts. So far now he's just blowing guys out, but with his skills it's not surprising.

Rivera's record is deceptive. It's not very good, but he has beat good compition, and lost close fights to good compition (Joel Julio SD, Ricky Quiles MD) and he has been in with far better opponents than Berto (Zab Judah)
This could actually be a competitive fight. And besdies, 21 KO's in 30 wins aint to shabby.

            Anyone remember Michael Sprott :P?

If Berto blows this guy out in 3-4 rounds then he is a prospect we need to look for in the future. If he hangs around for about 8 (which I suspect) then Berto is overated to begin with.

berto is built like a beast, he has the power to stop any welterweight in the game today. this rivera guy will get dusted off and so will anyone else who steps in with him.

if it takes berto 8 rounds against rivera thats respectible to me.
i expect berto to be more tactfull in this one.
he's had it easy in the past.
