Does Zab Have 1 More Run Left In Him?

What do you guys think? I think mostly everyone agrees that he is done. He hasnt won a fight in over 2 years, was off a year due to suspension, and he just took a brutal beating. 99% of the time that spells the end of your career, atleast as an elite fighter.

However, there are a few times that we have written guys off and they have came back. The most recent guy I can think of is Shane. Shane was P4P #1 on alot of people's list and then he went into a 6 fight stretch where alot of people thought he didnt win a single fight. It was actually kind of similar to Zab. He lost twice to Forrest, then had a 3 round NC fight with Marquez that most thought he didnt look that good in, then he had a good win against Oscar but alot of people thought he really lost, and then he got beat by Winky 2 fights in a row.

Pretty much everyone thought he was done and would never look anything like his old self again. Most thought he should retire. Now its 5 fights later and alot of people have him back in the top 10 P4P and consider him to be a huge threat to anyone including the #1 P4P guy in boxing.

If Zab took 2 easy fights in a row against bums do you think he could come back? He needs to get some confidence again. Even if he had a shot at any elite guy I would probally say No if I was his team. I would feed him some garbage guys and then take one more shot at it. The problem is that the Cotto fight may have been his last chance to get a big fight. He's far too much of a high risk/low reward fight now. If he wins 2 in a row then he would be even more dangerous because he wouldnt be coming off of losses like he has been lately. What do you guys think? Does he have another run or did Cotto finish him off and he will never be a serious threat again?

I think he does,he aint won in a long time but think about it,he got upset against Baldomir, but everyone knows Zab just took him too lightly and paid for it,the whole time he had Mayweather on his mind,****,he even made a Mayweather T-shirt,he wasnt training for the guy infront of him and paid for it
Against Mayweather he lost to the best P4P fighter in the world, most would lose anyway, following the fight he got suspended for a year IMO which he needed, too focus back on boxing
He came back and destroyed that journyman until the fight got called a NC,i think he was fired up for Cotto,he knew he needed that,he gave a excellent performance but lost to the better guy in a war

I think Zab can be champ again, hes always got the skills to be

true but I think that losses start to take a toll on you no matter what. Its like basketball. Where you could lose 3 close games in a row to the 3 best teams in the leauge. Then in the 4th game you play a weak team so everyone thinks you should win since you did so well against the best but the weak team ends up kicking your ass. You start getting use to losing and after awhile it gets hard to win fights. Your just not the same fighter. I hope Im wrong though. At the end of the day none of it matters if Zab doesnt find a way to get mentally tougher and find a way to get more stamina and stop going in the tank after 4 rounds every fight

How about Zab vs Kostya...Zab by quick KO? He always seems to start off well (including his previous match up with KT)

On his interview with Larry Merchant, he said he would like to have a rematch in Puerto Rico, and the low blows affected him. Watching the fight he could definitely use a new trainer that gives him better advice, if I was in Zab's corner I would of told him to use his left hand more. I personally don't think he's done, he's not young, but definitely not old. As of right now Zab is done as an elite fighter, but his career isn't. Look it Mosley, he's 35 and still fighting. I just think Zab just needs to have a couple more fights before taking on a big name opponent. That's if he's still up to it.

i think he is one of the most overated ever..........yes he's flashy fast and powerful, and thats it. he doesn't have anything else, and the most important part, being his mental approach is at level zero.

i don't know how or why boxingscene.com even has his picture in the control panel icon, but i'll start a thread soon asking them to change that one!

              his fathers a great trainer,

zab has A.D.D he dosent pay attention he cant stay focused on one task his father was giving him the best advice , throw the jab out more and dont wait to counter so much just let the combos go ,it seems he gets over excited and adjust's well in the begining of his fights and then his mind goes else where he deff has some kind of A.D.D or attention problem.
