Why Not Cotto-Mosley?

Everyone knows that the biggest fight in boxing is a fight with Floyd. However, if Floyd is retired then lets go to the next biggest. The fact is that a couple of weeks ago everyone was saying that Floyd-Mosley is the biggest fight in boxing, the fight that all the fans want to see, and Shane is the biggest threat to Floyd. Now everyone is saying that Floyd-Cotto is the biggest fight in boxing, the fight that all the fans want to see, and that Cotto is the biggest threat to Floyd. If Floyd stays retired then why not have this fight? Lets face it, Cotto-Margarito is good but its not Cotto-Shane for the simple fact that Shane is more skilled then Margarito.

I think Cotto-Margarito is a excellent fight but fans love to see guys with great tools and alot of great attributes. Thats what made Cotto-Judah so great. Both Cotto & Mosley are easily 2 of the best offensive fighters in the game, they both basically only come forward the whole fight, they both have mad heart, they both hit like trucks, and both are coming off of great wins. This fight would be huge and could make a good amount of money. This is the fight that boxing needs. This has FOTY written all over it and the winner will be looked at totally differently. If Cotto won then he would be the new star on the block and top 5 P4P while Mosley will have secured his legacy as one of the best of this era and a guy who took on all comers.

Maybe but I dont think Arum cares as much about that stuff as Oscar does and I think Oscar may make the exception for his friend Shane. Plus you have to think about the bragging rights. Im sure Oscar believes that Shane can beat Cotto and would love nothing more then for his guy to knock off Arum's baby while Im sure that Arum would love nothing more for Cotto to beat a guy who Oscar lost to twice so he could throw it up in his face non stop

I think you take the Arum-GBP thing to lightly. PBF thought it a big enough obstacle to him getting Oscar that he bought out his contract. That tells me that its also a big obstacle for Mosley-Cotto.

read the last part that I added on to my previous post. I will also say that Floyd never liked Arum much anyway and he didnt want to split that money with Arum either. Dont get me wrong, I know they definatly hate eachother but this is a big fight and sometimes that can overule things. "sometimes"

Yeah, I see your point I just dont see it as being a high probability. I'm not arguing that it would be a great fight and great potential punctuation to Mosely's great career or potential slingshot to Cotto's super stardom. I just dont see it as being probable.

Also take into consideration that Arum also handles Margarito, Clottey and Castillo.
