  • Judah should have been disqualified

I know it's not in the rules, but taking a knee to avoid punishment, like one of the commentators said, should end in disqualification. Other than that the fight kicked ass.

No it should not its smart lots of good and great fighters have done it.

I disagree. The current rule is good, counting that as a knockdown.

It's perfectly legal and the commentators said it was very smart. It was a veteran move by Judah...

dude, taking a knee is by no way grounds for disqualification. it's a way of collecting yourself to try and mount an attack or survive in most cases, but your giving up a round basically in order to continue and recuperate.

if a fighter is seriously in bad shape and takes a knee then the ref should waive it off. there is no sense in letting him continue to get stomped, in zab's case it was to survive, but he was fit to continue, zab's hands were still faster than cotto's throughout the fight, just he didnt' throw them.

              Why should he be disqualified?

It's a smart move, if a fighter decides to take the point deduction, and compose himself, then get back up to fight some more, I definitely respect that, and he did the right thing.

If there ever was a good case for disqualification, it would be
when Mayweather's uncle stepped into the ring after the low blow against Judah. Thats supposed to be an automatic DQ, but they said nothing.

Judah did the right thing. Taking a knee is legal.

There is nothing wrong with taking a knee. Your also wrong about the commentators. They said if Judah didn't continue the fight after the 2nd low blow that he would be disqualified since a fight can not be stopped by a low blow only DQ from continuous low blows (i.e. Gollota-Bowe).

P.S. Did you just start watching boxing today?
