    why did zab stop throwing?

the first 3 rounds he had cotto hurt twice, 3 times total in the fight. zab was landing the left uppercut easily and snapping cottos head with each shot. why'd he stop throwing the left? it wasnt like cotto was making him pay for throwing it, zab hadn't been hit much up to round 4 and was hitting cotto at will. after round 4 it was like he kept waiting and waiting and never threw a meaningful punch

cause cotto was putting relentless pressure on him, zab doesn't have the "IQ" to handle that ****. Honestly he doesn't have the balls or the heart to take that kind of pressure and pushishment. Zab is an exciting fighter but cotto applied too much pressure and he had zab beat mentally!

ring rust. he had 2 minutes in a ring IN 2 YEARS!!! He doesnt think very well and his manager neither. What he needed to do is what was done for fighters like ODLH and other good fighters... Before cotto a rematch with the australian, kosta tsyzu i think thats his name. He should win that if he doesnt get KTFO again keeping his hands up. work another veteran after that. THEN COTTO. he was too much ring rust and now he can very well become a can. i dont think stamina will bless zab again (he's 29) and his chin isnt the best as well. He has power and speed in early rounds but i just dont know i'm still a fan though. Cotto i will not even talk about... that nut punching ..... grr

malignaggi was able to at least throw punches. you'd think cottos pressure is out of the world? plus he would get demolished in his way in... fighters like that have careers like gatti and warner... usually ends up at 34 with brain damage and still saying they are contenders.

versatile, no he didn't do nething tonight, he looked for every excuse to end the fight. Zab is a ***** , he knew he couldn't take the punch from cotto so he tried to find every excuse to end the fight. Zab is still an exciting fighter even though I'm not a fan and I think he still has some good fights in him, I just think the pressure and power was too much tonight.

Easy question, here's an easy answer -> Don't you find it funny, that ZAB's best rounds was when the low blows happened, and like you said after round 4 it was like ZAB kept waiting. Well, that's what a well executed low blow does to you, unfortunately in this fight it was two well placed groin shots. It takes the steam out of a fighter, and it takes awhile to get it back together, when you face a terrific fighter like Cotto, it becomes difficult to get back into rhythm.

I know from my own experience, both from the receiving end and me givin' it to someone. There have been times where I got hit in the groin, but, it had little effect and times were it hurt real bad and actually had to walk it off for a good 2 minutes. When I used to box, I would use low blow tactics when my opponent was outhustling and I can't seem to get off, and guess what, if I throw a good well placed low blow, it slows down their workrate, that's my cue to step it up and gain momentum for myself.

Here's an analogy..... It's like having a hot intense sex w/ your chick and the phone rings or something happens that throws off your rhythm and you end up getting out of sync, it takes awhile to get it back sometimes or you don't get it back at all. You just end up rolling over and sleeping(lol). Folks, this is what happened to ZAB tonight, and against a guy who is a helluva ****er. Like they say in New Yawk, FORGET ABOUT IT !!
