I just got back from Hartford...Great Fight...

Tarver vs. Muriqi was a great fight. People were going ****ing crazy the entire fight. I was real close to the ring standing through the whole fight. It was extremley loud, when I say loud I mean louuuuddd. It was a close fight I think it could have seen it going either way. I'll give Tarver this, he didn't crap out late like I expected. Me and this dude next to me thought Tarver was going to fall apart in the late rounds and get stopped. So Tarver seems to have improved his stamina a little. Tarver was in an uphill fight these people were on Elvir Muriqi side to the 1000th degree. They were literally screaming and singing songs about him throughout the whole fight. Also Chad Dawson is a very very good fighter. I baught a Dawson t-shirt after his fight, he really impressed me. Going to a live fights kicks ass. Boxing is alive, people are so passionate about it. I found out on the way out that Judah lost to Cotto. I knew that was going to happen. Zab just can't seem to win big fights these days. He had that great performance against Spinks but after that he hasn't been able to get the job done. BoxingScene fam, fill me in, how was Cotto/Judah for those who saw it?

My bad. This is only the second time I've seen him fight.

I just want to say that I am very satisfied with my decision to purchase the fight despite the fact that I resent pay-per-views in boxing, and I am not a fan of Cotto or Judah.

Judah fought with class and courage tonight like I have never seen from him before. I have been an anti-Zab fan ever since his di****able behavior after the Tsyzu fight, and many of his other performances didn't win me back. I am very impressed with the dignity and grace-under-pressure that Zab exhibited tonight.

I have yet to jump on the Cotto bandwagon, but I can certainly see why many other folks have. Cotto also showed a big heart and a cool disposition despite several serious cuts on his face, and a very dangerous opponent in front of him.

Both men covered themselves in glory tonight despite the fact that only one man can be declared the winner in the fight. I am honestly eager to see both guys fight again before the end of the year against other top welterweights.

The bottom line is that boxing fans won big tonight in a terrific fight that see-sawed in momentum, and left me guessing how it would end until the final seconds when the ref stopped it in the 11th.

This was a great night for boxing and all of the fans of the "sweet science." Even if I paid $50 dollars to see it. Thank you to both men for the thrill of a great boxing match.
