Is Cotto officially the next Tito Trinidad

Do you guys think that now its safe to say that Cotto is the next Trinidad i dont think he is maybe one or two fights will get him there but you could make the argument that he is with a sensational performance against Judah

Tito is better, IMO. Cotto has more dimensions and more of a skillset but Tito had much better handspeed and much, much more power in my opinion. He was destroying guys much easier then Cotto. I rememeber some people back in the day even thought he would be able to go up to 168 or 175 and fight Roy Jones. This was before he fought Bernard Hopkins of course.

IMHO, I feel Tito Trinidad had accomplished more, and fought much harder competition, at the level Miguel Cotto is now. One thing that some folks didn't seem to understand...because thier minds are so ignorant...is that Trinidad fed off of the fan base that adored him. He fought for the Island of Puerto Rico. EVERYBODY! wheather you was in NYC, or anywhere in the World.

Miguel Angel Cotto, 30-0, 25KO's, is a lot more layed back, has not yet embraced that he indeed is the heir to "EL GRAN CAMPEON" Felix "Tito" Trinidad.

Cotto does have the better Amatuer record, and seems to establish better "boxing" skills than Trinidad. But Tito was a freakin wrecking ball...and with crazy stamina. Two lethal combinations. And can take you out with either hand, and more accurate puncher. Bottom line is...Cotto is the next... Miguel Cotto. Trinidad was one of the greatest champions ever to come out of Puerto Rico.

        So was...Wilfredo Benitez.

This was a tough fight. When Cotto faces Williams or Margarito, he will likely be facing and even tougher fight. Perhaps we should reserve our estimations of his greatness until he has won (or lost) a few more big fights. What we know about Cotto is that he fights to win, and that he has shown in the past the discipline and consistency of a champion. Nevertheless, the flaws in his style are still there, and still waiting for somebody to exploit them.
