i think floyd has the advantage, but cotto still has a good chance on defeating mayweather.
cotto likes to punch to the body, and if he can stop mayweathers legs that would give cotto a great chance on winning. also he has the style that is needed to stop mayweather, keep going forward agressively.

The guys who have been the most effective against Floyd are the ones who used pressure. That's key to beating Mayweather (and volume punching is key to beating pure boxers anyway). I think that Cotto is a bit too slow on his feet to trouble Floyd.

floyd could easily escape cotto's charges. like he usually does, he just stay away, jab, and get an easy decision.

        floyd by UD.

woah there i was just on the cotto/hatton thread and i would have voted cotto by tko but against mayweather? i'd go mayweather over cotto in actually an exciting fight like the jesus chavez/mayweather fight.

i know everyone has failed, but outboxing floyd is just out of the question.
the best strategy is just to pressure him and keep going forward agressively.
on castillo mayweather, that i think castillo should had won, he did that.

i also said that floyd has the advantage of course. if i have to bet money i would pick mayweather, but i think that cotto does have a chance.

well, this are just opinions, and i think that this fight is never going to happen. also i herad floyd said he want taylor now :P.....anyone knows if this is true??

I personally think Spinks would outbox Mayweather or at least give him a very good workout.

Mayweather would have stopped Judah if that riot didnt occur...judah prevented it from happening.

                  Oh, Mayweather by UD. (118-112)

exactly, floyd does have more power than people give him credit for. the ****er can hit, trust me. he wobbled oscar a few times in their fight. he wobbled baldomir also as well as judah. people need to understand that floyd's style is too much for cotto. floyd knows when to throw effective shots, and cotto would taste leather all night. cotto leaves himself open a lot also. with zab, who didn't throw, that's okay, but with floyd, he gets hit and gets hit hard and fast. floyd is a precsion puncher. i see him breaking cotto's jaw because cotto exposes it a lot. floyd's defense is masterful and cotto does have a swift jab when he uses it, but floyd is just methodical in the ring. his eyes are like snake eyes, he's very aware of everything in that ring. i don't see cotto lasting in there with mayweather for too long. floyd by knock out or tko. and floyd goes to the body better than cotto does. of course, cotto hits harder to the body, but floyd places his body shots amazingly when he throws them, which he didn't do against oscar when they fought. had he done it more, i feel he would have kncoked oscar out or down mulitple times. floyd broke zab's body down tremendously in their fight which slowed zab down a lot. cotto broke down zab, but it looked like zab stopped throwing after the 1st round. he rarely threw any shots, i didn't know what he was thinking. floyd won't do this, cotto would be the underdog, and for good reason, he won't be floyd mayweather jr, not at all.
