A MAJOR difference between MMA/UFC and BOXING

    Matchmaking

    Just look at this

    BOXING:

    MMA:

Look at all the ONESIDED beatdown fights that are gonna happen in the boxing world tonight.

    BOXING:
Adameks opponent is a 6 to 1 underdog!
Sotos opponent is a 5 to 1 underdog!
Dawsons opponent is a 12 to 1 underdog!
Tarvers opponent is a 6 to 1 underdog!
Cottos opponent is a 2 to 1 underdog! (thats bad odds making though)

    MMA:
Franklins opponent is a 1.6 to 1 underdog
Baronis opponent is a 1.05 to 1 underdog
BJs opponent is a 3 to 1 underdog (the worst of the bunch)
Silvas opponent is a 1.3 to 1 underdog
Sherks opponent is a 1.6 to 1 underdog
    Ortiz's opponent is a 1.05 to 1 underdog

    Get my drift...

That's easily the biggest problem. People want to see the best fight the best and that rarely happens in boxing these days...

Not even that though, as much as i agree.

Even if its to shlubs off the street, dont put these two shlubs in the ring against Top ranked professionals. Put them in the ring together!

Just make evenly matched fights and the fights are gonna be more and more exciting!

Exactly thats been a huge problem in boxing. Its largely due to the numerous belts and there interim derivatives which allows belt holders to call themselves "champion" when they are infact a contender. Fighters can go years or even an entire career as a so called 1 belt "Champion" without ever having to fight another belt holder.

I'm not trying to pick on anyone so I wont give the name but here is a real world example:

Fighter wins vacant belt. Fighter has 15+ belt defenses and 40+ fights before he ever fights another belt holder. WTF is that all about?

The problem with UFC is its almost impossible to handicap because the outcome is totaly unpredictable. The guy with the most skill doesnt always win. Its pretty much a coin toss. Thats why the odds look like that.

You see top level MMA guys get wrecked by noname fighters on a regular basis. That fact is reflected in the odds.

in mma is easier to get an advantage over your opponent has your alloud to use all of your body for fighting so the best skilled fighter isnt always the winner , it only takes one slip up and ur locked in a submision

                exactly

thats also the biggest problem the UFC has. any "champion" can get KTFO by a nobody on any given night

Calzaghe is a prime example of why people don't take boxing as seriously anymore...

ding ding ding. the oddsmaking for boxing and the oddsmakingn for mma are two completely different processes. you can't really compare them.
