BOXING is on the RISE in CANADA!

I read it a while back in RING MAGAZINE, but i didnt buy it.

BUt then on FNF, a little over 10,000 fans showed up to watch a Canadian fight night with some of their fighters.

A very good fight card overall, but an even better crowd. They love there boxing

There's several good boxers coming up in Montreal now, and people are excited about it. Adrian Diaconu, Herman Ngoudjo and Lucian Bute are three good examples. In the past there were always a few, like Arturo Gatti, but now because of immigration there are more.

I loved the crowd, they need to switch that.I think there's too many civilized rich people in the front row that really dont wanna cheer. They need to bring the nose bleed section down,it would boost the excitement of boxing like the fight yesterday.

lmao that **** made me disgusted...that clearly some discrimination they had the rich people eating on dining tables not even watching the fight and the pooorer people all the way in the stands enjoying the fights.

man class distinction is a *****.

Hey Cananda, I heard that Valuev is scheduled to fight this undefeated Canandian boxer named Jean Bergeron sometime in September. What's the scouting report on this guy? Is he any good or is his record 'padded?' Also, do you know if this fight will take place in Canada?... (don't ask me why I keep using these icons??)

Boxing has always been popular in Montreal. Remember Duran fought Leonard there.

BostonGuy, the fight is taking place in Germany. Bergeron's fought and defeated the best heavyweights in Canada, but hasn't fought any real contenders. He isn't bad, but like many others he should have moved up to tougher opposition some time ago. Nicolay Valuev is a big step up for him, he would be better off fighting a more beatable fringe contender at this point, someone like Guinn or Minto.

Bergeron has a fight scheduled for June 15 in Montreal against Domonic Jenkins. This fight is on the undercard of the Bute vs. Bika matchup, and will be televised by ESPN. Jenkins has won his last three fights by early stoppage.

Eric Lucas is a big Montreal boxing name that comes to mind. Montreal is a fantastic city - but the politicians are doing their very best to destroy it.
