I just want to know why anyone on here thinks Kimbo will take this to the ground? Out of all of his fights I've seen, I never saw him take one to the ground. If Kimbo takes Mercer to the ground then it just proves that Kimbo is afraid of Mercer's power and is desperate. This fight will not go to the ground except when Slice gets ko'd. Slice has 0 ground game and doesn't even ever kick in his fights. Mercer by easy ko unless he quits like he did against Briggs and when he got kicked in the head in mma.

we are all thinking he is trying to win... plus he took it to the ground against gannon and tried to wrestle "the bouncer"

kimbo got knocked down by a guy way lighter than mercer in his last fight. it wasn't even a big punch. It was just a right uppercut that landed while he was coming in. Trust me, Kimbo is going to get his ass handed to him

i worry for Mercer, i dont see how he can stop Kimbo taking him down unless he catches him coming in to shoot.

I dont see how you can do this with a punch though, as a knee is much better.

Why does everyone the internet Kimbo is fighting the young champion Ray Mercer. Kimbo will train and learn new skills while old ass Mercer will train, but at his age he is limited to what he can do. Kimbo should KO him with no problem. He's younger and is probably in a hell of a training camp right now.

I understand WHY some people think that Kimbo will take it to the ground. I just dont understand why anyone will think that he'll be any good at it. They are both training in MMA. Ray Mercer will, in my opinion, prove to be a more dedicated and adaptable student (based on the fact that he's learned to master 1 fighting style which he has lived for most of his life...thats one more than Kimbo) and will likely out punch as well as out-grapple Kimbo.
