Anyway, im puttin the house on MARQUEZ in the rematch. A good boxer will always beat Pacquiao. And since MARQUEZ will know what to expect, he wont have to weather an early storm and he wont be playing catchup.

i think he stops Pacman in the late rounds
What house? Your parents house? You still livin with your parents and you're what, 34 years old?

I felt that a draw was the right decision. If I had to pick a winner in the fight I would pick Marquez by a small margin. Pac had that great first round and maybe even 2nd and 3rd, but after that Marquez boxed his shoes off. This is exactly why they need a rematch because so many people saw it in different ways.

If they were to fight again I woud pick Marquez. I hate to say it because I love Pac, but like others have said Marquez already knows what it's like to fight Pac and he would outbox him like he did late in the first fight.

Thats a stretch. Morales knew what its like and out boxed him the first time too.

I've watched the fight probably half a dozen times, and could score it either way, depending on what I wanted to see. If I wanted to see beautiful counterpunching, ring generalship, and a fighter prove his willpower by coming back from a disasterous first round, I score it for JMM by a few points. If I wanted to see a fighter moving forward, pressuring the other fighter and trying to work his way inside to unload power punches and doing a fair job of it, I score it for Pacman.

When it gets right down to it, Marquez is easily the better boxer, and FAR better counterpuncher, and Pacman does a great job of moving foward and finding a way to set up his big left hand. The styles match up great for an exciting fight, but don't make it easy to score. If I were one of the judges, I'd have probably scored it 115-113 Marquez, or a draw (probably the former), but then I like counterpunchers, and I enjoy seeing a fighter learn on the job, like JMM did when he started slipping Pacman's left and countering it every time he threw it.

If they fight again, I think Marquez will get a TKO in mid to late rounds. He's got a great chin, a big-ass right hand (not to mention being heavy handed in general), and can counter when countering seems impossible. Pacman is fast, hits hard, and is becoming a better boxer all the time, but I just don't think he's at JMM's level yet. And no, catching someone with 3 massive left hands for 3 KD's in the first round doesn't mean ****, except that Pacman needs to learn to be a better finisher.

it's one of those memorable fights at feather ever, if i remember it right, twas the leading candidate for FOTY in 2004 til another war upstaged it Castillo-Corrales I. 10,20 years from now boxing fans will still debate, argue about this fight - and call it a classic.

lol, what? i love how all these guys get so fussed up just because someone voices there opinion, and its DIFFERENT from theres.

Its not even like i said it rudely. I said what i thought very politely.

Against a brawler, Pac will always win. Against a great boxer like Marquez, pacquiao could get pummeled.
