What the hell are you blabbering about? If you'd been paying attention, my problem with Floyd is all post-135. Corrales/Castillo are irrelevant here.

And for the record. There was nothing dangerous about fighting DLH. The Current Welterweight champ, moving up one division to fight an over the hill welter, years removed from his last quality win for a squillian dollars on a huge stage knowing you are going to retire immediately following the fight is hardly a dangerous fight.

Who wouldn't take that fight? Every schmuck from 135 on upwards would cut off a nut to take that fight tomorow.

Only man at 154 I'd take over Oscar is Cory Spinks. That's cuz Spinks hits and runs. Cotto was occupied before the DLH fight. Everyone would take the money but wouldn't beat DLH.

      Oscar>Margarito

Regardless Floyd is the best boxer in the sport.

It helps that 54 is a wasteland right now.

Fact is its become pretty clear that Floyd has been reading from the Roy Jones playbook while building his career and has priced himself out of a lot of fights as a result.

At the end of the day, if you really want the fight, you'll make it. And the only fight since Castillo that Floyd really wanted was Oscar and its the only real fight he's made since.
Hatton for instance turned down Floyd, yes. But WHY did he turn it down? Because he wanted a fight in the US under his belt before fighting Floyd. If Mayweather had really wanted that fight, he would've agreed to go to the UK and we would've had a fight. Ricky was the champ after all.

I don't give guys credit for making offers, I give guys credit for making fights. Other people seem to be able to do it. Why can't Floyd?

None of this, by the way has anything to do with his ability. He's an exceptional fighter who has fought & beat some great fighters.
So your saying Floyd should give in to what Hatton wants in order to get a fight with him? He made offers to Hatton which he either turned down or priced himself out. Hatton was ringside when Floyd fought Gatti and was supposedly next in line to fight Floyd but I guess Floyd's performance scared him off because he didn't see interested then. Anyway Floyd is the bigger name than Hatton so there is no reason Floyd should have to give in to get a fight with him it's just like Oscar is the bigger out of him and Floyd and thats why floyd gave in to Oscar's demands.

Welcome to the world of boxing.

I'm saying if Floyd wanted a fight with Hatton, it would've got made. Maybe if he wasn't in such a hurry to move up and take on the likes of Frombe' Mitchell and Henry Brussel Sprout they could've come to an agreement.

But you guess Hatton was scared though, so I suppose if you guess it, it must be true.

Maybe if Hatton didn't run back down to 140 after getting his head snapped back so many times by Collazo. The Mitchell fight was a warmup fight for a new weightclass. Floyd would annhilate Hatton. Hatton barely beat Collazo.

Floyd can't fight people who aren't there. He can't magically make opponents appear.

                Cotto-occupied
                Judah- defeated
Mosley- wasn't going to fight in front of his business partner
Margarito-signed to fight Williams. Didn't deserve a shot anyway

Who was Floyd supposed to fight? Either Mosley or DLH. Let's not forget many people on here picked DLH to beat Floyd. Just look at $in's signature with ALL of the people who chose Oscar to win. Oscar is still one of the best fighters in the game.

Maybe what? you think Floyd was about to jepardise his DLH fight by fighting Hatton at 147? Get the hell outta here. Never gonna happen.

And I also think its ****** to give Floyd a pass for his warm up for a division against a complete carter. Yet bag Hatton for taking a drastically tougher fight for his. You think Hatton wouldn't have crushed Mitchell?

And Hatton has gone back to 140 (where he belongs anyway) to fight a guy that arguably beat Floyd.

I was responding to a "DLH beats everyone at 54" comment by...whoever it was. I wasn't making the argument that you are trying to rebut.

But since you bring it up. I've never said he shouldn't have fought DLH. Of course he should've for both him & the sport. What I don't like is the fact that he took 5 years of 2nd rate opponents to get it.

He ducked Casamayor. ANd show me proof of Frietas turning down the fight.
