Oliver McCall is still a very strong man. He may have a shot at the WBC title before he retires.

I'm more interested in the fellow fighting on the same card who's beaten both guys. [technically one]

I think McCall still has enough to take it. Both guys have good chins but McCall is the better fighter even at this stage.

Gomez will easily beat Bakhtov. I wonder who he'll fight next...

He's ranked #4 by the WBC and Sam is ranked #2. I think this fight may be a WBC eliminator, because Sam is just behind Peter who's the #1 contender. So whoever wins this is supposed to get a shot at the WBC title, after Vitali, Peter, and Maskaev settle things.

But of course, McCall would be unlikely to win a the title! In fact I think Sam will win this fight, not because he's a great fighter, but because McCall is well past his prime. But like I posted before, Oliver is still a strong man and may win this fight and become the next WBC mandatory.

(and that says a lot about the WBC's credibility, doesn't it?)
