    Evander Holyfield...

Ruslan Chagaev Oleg Maskaev Wladimir Klitschko Sultan Ibragimov

Out of the champions who would be his best bet to fight? To me he would have no chance against the Klitschko brothers or Peter, I'm sure most of you would agree aswell. But how about Maskaev and others that have belts?

I think we would all love to see him retire. But since he wants to fight on, I would like to see him fight Sultan or Chagaev aswell. If Evander really wants to be undisputed again, thats a scary thought. I think Peter and Wlad would kill him at this point. But who knows...

why? so you can watch him get smacked around like in the toney and donald fights? holy cant beat any heavyweights with a pulse anymore. when are some of you guys ever going to learn? he was a great fighter but he's an old shell of himself now. get ready for disappointment if hes ever matched with any of the other champions

We don't want to see him fight. Were just saying since he insists these are guys he should consider fighting. Evander should have retired 7-10 years ago, I know that.

I would just like to see him retire.

He has the heart of a great champion, and that ultimately is his problem. Boxers, and even more so champions, are a rare breed as they by definition refuse to quit despite negative public perception or great physical pain, either of which would stop most people from their goals.

I would never tell another man how he should live his life but I hope someone close to him who truly cares for his well being tells him it is time to quit. You don't need some plastic and metal around your waist to be a champion.

Of course, I feel hypocritical saying this because I hope that I'm wrong and he does go on to win the title one more time. So to answer your question, maybe Maskaev if he somehow was able to get past Peter (doubtful) and has an off night combined with a great one from Holyfield.

IMO, Holyfield's best chance of winning another title would be to fight newly crowed WBO champ Sultan Ibragimov. Holyfield is in impeccable shape, has the skills and ring experience, and above all has the heart and shear determination to do whatever it takes to win. Plus, I am not all that impressed with Ibragimov as a fighter let alone a champion. I think he's a relatively 'small' hw, has average power, and hasn't been in with a world beater like Holyfield.

I think Holyfield wins via close decision...
