If Calslappy breaks his hand, he could be in trouble. He seems to hurt his hand every fight now.

how can someone with a 75% knockout ratio have no power for a super middleweight.
What other super middleweights have more KO's?
I think you misunderstand boxing. You dont try to knock your opponent out with every punch.
Calzaghe lands flurries of punches to score points, if the knockout is there, he will take it.
If the person you are fighting is smart defensively, or is very awkward, it is very difficult to knock them out.
Both Kessler and Calzaghe have good power. I dont know why you think otherwise.
I do agree that Kessler could KO Calzaghe though... but that is possible for any two fighters given the right circumstances
I see your point. However, there are two things to consider:
1) His level of opposition (not too strong) His 2 biggest opponents are Chris Eubank and Jeff Lacy
2) 29 of those 32 KO's came by way of TKO
When you consider those factors, his high KO percentage is a bit misleading.
BTW- Please don't insult me, I know boxing. I don't think it's all about the KO.Last edited by DuttyAlacrity; 06-06-2007, 02:55 PM.Comment

Most of them 29 were after knocking seven shades of **** out of his opponents and/or them being knocked down, beat the count but out of it.
I can recall very few Calzaghe stoppages where he hasn't floored his opponent or them about to be floored again.Comment

Regarding Joe's KO%: he knocked out like 20 of his forst 21, so his % in his last twenty fights is actually very mediocre.Comment
