...just because you have big muscles doesnt mean you have good punching power. your power comes from your technique and form. how you twist your hips, pivot your feet and keep proper balance to allow your weight to carry your punch is what gives you punching power and speed.. and with speed comes power.
Great point. You could be the strongest guy in the world, or even the quickest. But if you don't have good technique you will never reach your true potential.
However, having said strength is never a bad thing. There were a lot of people in baseball for many years believed having muscles was a deterrent in that sport. Well, dozens of broken records later can see how wrong they were about that. The point is having strength will help you in any athletic endeavor, but strength without technique is a waste.
True statements by Left2body. The guys who jest let their body develop into what it should normally look like generally seem to be more fitting for winning because they are more comfortable.
Having alot of muscles also gets you tired rather quickly. I know.Thats why I appreciate even further on how Tyson's stamina was in the 80's.It was incredible for a guy his build.
