Yeah right, you obviously didn't see the ottke/mundine fight. I didn't watch it all but from the clip I saw of it. It looked as if ottke landed a lucky shot because Mundine got careless. Ottke's a fraud and he did land a lucky shot

And to say that Liakhovich was overweight and unmotivated to lose to Briggs is ******ed. If you aren't motivated for a title defense of one of the heavyweight championship belts, what the **** do you need?
Earn your shot or piss off.
This is like all of these perrenial one fight champions that lurk around and get undeserved shots at undeserving champions. At least Valuev defended a few times.
let me remind u that Lyko was winning the fight but he decided to slug it out with Briggs in the last round and that knock out was him falling down cause he was dead tired...

Watch these two videos and then decide who the better fighter is, Lyakhovich or Ibragimov:

(highlights of Briggs vs. Ibragimov, nicely made new video)

            (Lyakhovich vs. Briggs, last round)

Many people have been underrating Ibragimov, but carefully watching some of the highlights of the Briggs fight may change their opinion. He has fast hands for a heavyweight and he's a very smart fighter.

well,,,,,brew is my 2nd fav heavyweight but I really cant by the eye excuse. I know he had a torn retina but who knows just when it happened in the fight and I dont recall seeing him squinting or anything. plus,,,,even if it was early it was from a punch and no punch is a lucky punch but I think brew would have kept serg down had he been in better shape and hungrier. he seemed to think this was going to be a 3 round walk over and it ended up costing him

iggy would knock serge out within 10 rounds and I will bet anyone who thinks otherwise if they fight. serge is extremely vulnerable to punches and sultan has sneaky power from the southpaw stance. if jeff mayweather didnt have him boxing so cautiosly against briggs he'd have knocked briggs out

That's what I thought too...Sultan has deceptive power in that left arm.

Right. It's just like saying a knockout was just a lucky punch. Anyway, if Lyakhkovich is back in shape (I don't know what was wrong with him vs Briggs, but something sure was) it should be an interesting fairly evenly matched fight between these two. I'd bet on the Sultan tho, because his star is ascending right now.
