Oganov/Echols on Hatton/Castillo Undercard, HBO Should Televise This!

    per *********:

    Oganov to face Echols!
Super middleweight bomber Victor Oganov (26-0, 26 KOs), who recently signed with Dennis Hobson/Fight Academy, takes on former three-time world title contender Antwun Echols (31-6-3, 27 KOs) in a clash of KO artists on the undercard of Ricky Hatton's eagerly awaited clash with Jose Luis Castillo. "It promises to be a very special night in Las Vegas and I cannot wait to make my record 27-0 and with 27 stoppages," stated Oganov. "Echols will not know what has hit him. My nickname is the "Destroyer" and he will find out why on June 23."

Give me one good reason HBO shouldn't be all over this. A KO artist (whatever the level of competition, fans will love that record) vs. a guy in Echols who makes exciting fights (just see the Hopkins fights for proof). Woods-Gonzalez wasn't going to be televised, and it seems HBO was content with the one-live fight card, but maybe they'll change their mind...I certainly hope so.

Im going to be in attendance for this card and was pretty disappointed when Gonzalez v. Woods was canceled-it would have been a good hard nosed fight.

The card has since shaped up quite well however and anybody who is 27-0 with 27 KO's has got my attention.

Your right HBO should televise it, I assume they plan on showing Cotto vs. Judah along with Hatton vs. Castillo but why not give a us a great triple header?

I don't think HBO wil replay Cotto-Judah two weeks after the fight, wouldn't they air it with the Malignaggi-N'Dou BAD telecast? And please tell me they are going to show Stevens-Dirrell live on that card, too...

This should be a great fight.
Oganov's a hell of a bomber - little raw in skills from what I've seen but very exciting. Get in there & hammer the guy kind of fighter.

Echol's loves to go to war & he's been in some great ones. He's the one with experience, as well as maybe a little edge in strength.

            Power's about even.

Now this is a proper match-up.

No, you misread. I REALLY want to see that fight, but I'm afraid that with the possibility of the Cotto-Judah replay airing that night, HBO may only show Malignaggi-Ndou. I hope I'm wrong on this, and it would make no sense for DiBella to make the Stevens-Dirrell fight at all unless it's on HBO. So either it's a tripleheader with the replay or there will be no replay.
