As a briggs fan, I have to say...

Briggs really dissapointed me last night, he put so little effort in that it really pissed me off. I know he has asthma and he has to be conservative with his punches, but he never really let it all out. What really pissed me off was that at the end of the fight, he still had juice in the tank. I would much rather have seen briggs put in a huge effort by throwing a lot of punches putting himself at risk of getting Ko'd. I would have of been much happier if briggs put in 110% effort and got knocked out, at least he would be able to look back on it and say i gave it my all. This was a terrible fight for the HW devision.

A young man just starting his career in boxing can learn a lot from Shannon Briggs. That is, learn what NOT to do! The discipline and consistency that you see from true champions like Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya, is not manifested in phony champions like Briggs. How many fights has Briggs performed poorly? Just because he gets lucky and wins, doesn't change a thing. Sooner or later the luck runs out.
