Briggs Blames Asthma, Brock Was Ready To Go

Shannon Briggs, as I said on posts weeks ago, is the worst heavyweight titleholder of all time. Not only in the ring as a boxer, but he's also a braggart and a poor sport. He said a few days ago he was going to "send the Russian into orbit" and insulted the quieter Ibragimov. Now he makes excuses!

He lost because he's not a good fighter, and it was evident last night.

Imbragimov was the better boxer, Asthma or not. Briggs simply got beat by a better fighter.

But having said that, Briggs obviously has some serious medical issues. A lot of athletes compete with Asthma but he seems to be struggling with it. I don't know if it is just an advanced case or he isn't treating it the way he should but it might be better for him to think about walking away from the sport and have it dealt with properly.

Its unfortunate that Briggs is using this exscuse. He was out worked and this isnt the first time this has happened.

toney would get easily beaten by iggy. iggy fights like a bigger stronger version of jirov who even gave toney all he could handle when he had a lot more left at that point in his career

ibragimov has his flaws but he obviously wasnt in shape for austin. you could see how much faster he was on his feet and of hand when he's in the 220 lb range

So far I've only watched the first two rounds. His stamina is horrible. Another thing, Sultan is listed at 6'2, but he looks more like 6'0. Anyone notice this?

Did you guys read this article? The promoters were so afraid of Briggs pulling out of the fight at the last minute, they had Cal Brock on 'stand-by' just in case!

Also, I want to talk about Brock here; I heard he was knocked down during the fight. Did anyone see this? I thought Brock would 'railroad' Gonzales since he was coming off of a long layoff and had lost his last 3 fights via KO....
