"And their product stinks. It's just awful. Most of their participants come from wrestling, or karate backgrounds, and are just terrible boxers.''
Why does he compares wrestler and boxers in boxing?
Why don't he compares Boxers and wrestlers in wrestling, kickboxers and boxers in kickboxing, BJJ practitioner and a boxer in BJJ tournament? You guys see the logic?
He thinks Boxing is the center of universe or what? C'mon Arum open your eye and realize that there is more in fighting than boxing alone.
He should critize himself before everyone/everything if Boxing is going downhill.Last edited by Brave_turtle; 06-03-2007, 04:26 AM.Comment

I dont think there is an MMA guy that will disagree with what Arum said. But nobody from the UFC would be ****** enough to try and stand up and fight a top ranked boxer. The MMA guy would use leg kicks from a distance and take it to the ground if the boxer got close. In my opinion there isn't a boxer out there that can take out an MMA fighter unless they are foolish enough to strike with a boxer.Comment

Yes!
Silly wrestler. Why don't you pack it up and go home. We all know your sport doesn't really matter anyway.
I'm not going to start the argument up again, but Bob need to sit down and STFU.
So what if they don't have a great enough skill as boxer's do. At least the grappler types finally have some place that will get them paid.
It's better then working for pro-wrestling.Comment

I agree with what he says, and its true,Chuck wasnt even there with a good boxer and got knocked out in round 1,imagine he was in there with a top rated LH who can box and counterpunch with small gloves on,he would be out quikerDuring a recent interview with Doug Krikorian of the Long Beach Press-Telegram, promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank took some serious shots at mixed martial arts, Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. [details]Comment
