i didn't watch the fight but i didn't expect much from briggs or ibragimov for that matter. this wasn't a fight that captivated me too much, especially after the debacle of sergei and briggs. i honestly think sergei can come back and take the title, because who know what the **** happened with him and briggs. you don't just have a war with a heavyweight champion and then lose to briggs, it doesn't make sense. but name the people you think could have beat briggs tonight. i think i could beat briggs for ****s sake. lol, if i fought briggs tonight, i'd be the heavyweight champion.
name the people that would have beat briggs tonight..

As I said weeks ago on another thread, Briggs is not even a top 25 heavyweight. He has 2 career wins against boxers rated in the top 50, according to the IBO website's boxing statistics: Foreman (doubtful) and Lyakhovich.
Briggs has built up his number of KOs and impressive winning record by fighting clubfighters, no tough journeymen/fringe contenders like Barrett, Bostice and Guinn, just clubfighters! When he did fight a tough journeyman, Jameel McCline, he lost.
At least 50 heavyweights, anybody from Barrett to Klitschko would beat Briggs. He wouldn't land a punch against a fast moving skill fighter like Chambers, and he'd likely get KOed by Arreola. Sam Peter would KO him early.Last edited by Steelhammer86; 06-03-2007, 12:56 PM. -

Toney is short, round and would have gotten KTFO...
next to Briggs, he would have looked tiny... Keep in mind that Toney is 4 inches shorter than IBRAGIMOV, who looked tiny next to Briggs.
Briggs is a huge mofo with good speed/power...
Toney is OLD!
BTW, name a top 25 HW that Toney beatComment

briggs looked like a heavy bag with legs. Anyone with any kind of consistent head movement would beat him.Comment
