I disagree,m I thought he looked like an improved fighter in the rematch against James Toney. I think his first fight against Toney taught him some valuable lessons that will be important for him to become champion. I think he could KO Wlad this time around if they fight. It will be interesting to see him fight Vitali should he get by Maskaev.Comment

I knew somebody would bring up the Toney fights. These were cases of Toney looking less and less impressive than it was of Peter showing me anything. He still lacks some of the fundamental skills I feel he is required to have to beat Wlad. I still enjoy watching him fight though.I disagree,m I thought he looked like an improved fighter in the rematch against James Toney. I agree with this post. so many that dont understand boxing well seem to think peter turned into a complete fighter in 1 fight,,,LOL. toney just simply went downhill and gave peter a very easy fight to look good in plus peter was simply too heavy in the first fight. peter will always be dangerous because of his chin and tremendous physical strength but he just doesnt have the talent to be anything more than a raw clubberI knew somebody would bring up the Toney fights. Wlad isn't heavy handed. He packs some power punches that are consistant and accurate. Peter is just naturally packing heavy hands though. Wlad still has to be careful engaging Peter too often with his China chin. If he throws too many trying to swing for the fences and gets caught it can be lights out quickly.
Wlad is EXTREMELY heavy handed, and has right-hand power that compares with some of the heaviest hitters in boxing history. He doesn't pack the wallop that Foreman and Shavers did, but he ain't far from it. Peter has lots of power, but not to the degree that Klitchko does.Comment

I voted for Wlad by decision. He's much more confident now then he was in the first fight, but he's still very cautious. It took 8 rounds for Wladimir's right hands to even back Peter up a little. I think the fight will look like the first one, more or less.Comment

I'd pick Wlad by early KO. 3rd or 2nd, probably. Once he started throwing rights, they were landing like nukes (and sounded like them). If Peter had a smaller neck, he'd have been KO'd after the first one. I think Manny will train Wlad set him up with a couple of hooks off a jab, followed by a freight-train right and KO Peter early.Comment
