The middles are weaker than the SM right now. C'mon, Taylor and Pavlik, and Abraham. Kessler and Calzaghe would beat them all IMO.

The heavies are weak, but its made worse because two of the best fighters don't currently hold a belt.

Welterweights (inc Mayweather) are the strongest by some distance although I admit I don't know much about the lower weights.

I dont think you can make a case for Kessler> Taylor, taylor beat hopkins twice in a row.

And Calzaghe is the only world class fighter at SM, other than Kessler there is no competition

At least at 160 you have miranda (for now) Pavlik, Taylor, also what about Andre Dirrel (i think i saw him on epsn few years ago) and Jaidon Codrington?
