Yes, if Taylor wins convincingly against Pavlik, it will silence most of his critics. If Pavlik KOs Taylor, it will establish him as an undeniably top level middleweight. And Sturm vs. Abraham would be another great matchup...

Great fight for Taylor to take. Could silence the critics with an impressive win and even in loss could gain him some respect if he had a couragous performance. IMO it's the fight that he needs to rejuvinate his career.

those are obviously bigger wins, but the point is that this fight wins back the respect that taylor won from hopkins, and lost to Wright, Ouma, and Spinks
