Read Anoraks thread on the third woods fight - We both thought Johnson won that fight - although i wouldn't call it a robbery, just a highly entertaining close fight between two B fighters.

He got robbed against clinton woods, another example of bad scoring, johnson nearly had him out of there and clearly won the fight,
As punishment i wanna see Woods get in the ring with chad dawson, then we will see if he really is the best light heavy in the world like some idiots over here in britain claim
Woods would get murdered by dawson, Johnson would probably get exposed also.Comment

Close fight TS, I had it 115-113 Johnson, but Woods kept in it right to the end, and looked the stronger at the finish, definitely taking the last two rounds.
Funnily enough, I didn't score the 9th a 10-8 Johnson, because comparing it with other wobbles it wasn't that bad. having said that, I think more 10-8 rounds should be given, rewarding guys who hurt their opponent badly but don't drop them.

Yep, that was a robbery! I remember scoring it at the time, but I rarely give even rounds apart from when there is NO action. Most of the rounds Woods won were much closer than those Johnson won on my card, if that makes sense.
Johnson took it really well, because for most of the fight he was in control true, but Woods really took it to him late on, it was a great rally from the guy, who I think is making hay in a dead division. I've only seen bits of Dawson - he looks like a good athlete, but is he more than that?Comment

I saw dawson against Adamek, i read lots of good things about chad, and the guy is so skilled, needs to work a little better on his defence cos he got flash knocked down by being so agressive, but he's quick, got a dangerous jab off which he fires lethal combinations to body and head and he's a southpaw.
He is very similar to Joe calzaghe, but technically dawson is better imo and i think there is a good chance dawson may be the next true p4p king of boxing after mayweather,
Adamek was unbeatean and dawson who is only 23 i think went over to germany and murdered him 118-109 or summin, to win the WBC light heavy title.Comment

johnson definately got better against roy he had such good defense and tenactiy that night.. he would of beat anybody that night.. he has very good power but alot of times he doesnt try to close the showComment

Yeah I think where Calzaghe is underrated is that he is one tough SOB who loves to fight and has never got cowed during a fight. I mean when Mitchell knocked him down he didn't go on the defensive, he TKO'd him within a minute!
But I'll have to see if I can get the Adamek fight, although he always struck me as a protected European, you know, the real protected ones, not like Hatton and Calzaghe......Comment
