Now I would actually like to see this......although I think Roy will be really careful and probably lose a UD due to inactivity like he did in Tarver III......He could win though if he was not afraid of getting Koed again and used his skill and whats left of his speed to his advatage.

JONES lost his heart after jones vs tarver 2 ,partialy the build up to that fight and aftermath of fight 1.

after jones fought ruiz his career did a downfall he neevr been the same, he lost all heart for the sport ,got old and his hunger was M.I.A ,

the guy should just retire and stop making a mockery out of his own name he should of retired after the ruiz fight that was a hughe accomplishment and he could of went out with a classic ending

Your right that's probably how it would turn out if they fought again with Roy being really cautious after the brutal KO Johnson laid on him last time. He would have to have a decent workrate since Johnson's workrate is pretty good to win a decision, but Jones may be done and I hate to say that since I like the guy.

As of now Jones is not the same. We just gotta see the Jones that shows up against Hanshaw is it the former p4p king or the washed up vet.If its the former p4p king then yes their should be a rematch because the punch diddnt hurt Jones. It was the fall that hurt him

Bad match up for Roy at this point. I think he might get KOed again.

naw yo, he wouldn't have hit the floor had that punch didn't hurt him. wtf you talking about, jones was out cold from that punch because he fell like an ironing board, completely flat, no stumble or trying to gain composure just straight TIMBER!!!!!!!!!! and that was form the punch on the temple, now the impact on the canvas was deal sealer. that made sure he stayed down, and i think he was down for some good minutes, real long, enough to make you think that he can't and doesn't respond well to taking punches anymore.
roy's chin has been ruined from that tarver punch and once that happens guys aint the same any more.

if Hanshaw was smart he'd try and make it an inside rough fight, pinning roy to the ropes and really press the action. in doing so, hanshaw could get a ko like johnson did. move forward pushing roy back and showing him no respect. he can show him respect after the fight if he wants, a win over roy would be huge, regardless right now of roys status. because right now people are thinking and hoping to see the roy of old, and who knows he could show up, at least for a few rounds, but i think if things aren't perfect for roy he isnt going to be like he was, meaning hanshaw is going to have to do everything roy wants him to and needs him to. when in the ring i think roy doesn't have that same problem solving skills he had when he was younger.
roy is extremely talented, still! but now in this part of his career he is going to have to rely on other things, things he's never really had to do in his career, so a lot of tactics aren't all that familiar to roy and poses more of a threat to roy, rather than help him.
by any means even with a win, this fight is going to everyone know right where roy is at. whether he needs to hang them up, even if he wins and it's a n ugly win, or if he has the goods and can still make somethings happen in the near future. who knows...........
