Boxing on free TV again?

It sucks that boxing is not on free tv like it once was.I can remember back in the day when CBS,NBC,and Abc would show a fight.These were quality fights and superfights that today would be on pay per view.The reason for the supposed decline in boxing in my opinion is because the average sport fan does not know who the fighters are anymore.The networks would help build a fighter and the public would grow to know them.Now, instead of showing boxing they rather show more tennis,beach volleyball,gymnastics,or horse racing. I seriously doubt that those are revenue generating sports but I could be wrong. If 2 million people bought the ODLH and Mayweather for 55 bucks how many more would watch boxing on free tv.

Yeah boxing would due itself and us fans a service if they found some way to put boxing on those major networks here in the US. I know they were going to have Tarver/Muriqui on ABC, but it fell through. Boxing should find a way to get more fights on free tv and create those future superstars that some people say they don't have. (Those people are the ones that don't follow boxing)

I think the last fight on free tv was Castillo vs Johnston but I could be wrong.Boxing has hurt itself though by inept officiating with bull**** decisions that make the average sport fan say "WWF with gloves".

The average guy on the street doesn't have a clue that there's a heavyweight championship fight on tomorrow.
