Why do some announcers....?

Sometimes the announcements are completely unintelligable, fr example:

On my left with a record of thirty eight wins including twenty seven wins by knockout, and thirteen losses, Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiriiiiiiisssshhhhh MICKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR RRDDDDDDD. Ward.

The second time they say the last name is for people who actually care who is fighting in this bout.
