I don't think it's Taylor's fault if this fight doesn't happen, it's his management that will be to blame.

taylor's losing more and more credit by the fight. for each jr middleweight he fights, he loses more of whatever respect he has left. now that pavlik is the universally recognized #1 contender and the WBC mandatory, taylor has absolutely no choice but to fight pavlik, no matter how big a mismatch it is.

whats he gonna do if he doesnt fight pavlik? drop down to jr middleweight and fight welterweights? move up to SMW and fight calzaghe (or so the thinks)?

if he avoids pavlik, taylor is nothing but a goddamn coward.

Pavlik could beat Jermain but I wouldn't expect a KO. Jermain can do some ****ing too.

So TAYLOR has to fight PAVLIK now right? Pavlik wants Taylor, the Public wants that fight, and theres nobody esle out there.

And all this time i thought we would never get both superfights, but maybe we will this time
I share your enthusiasm and I agree that under no circumstances that this fight should not be made but, the business of boxing is seldom as "cut and dry" as you indicate here. This fight is far from happening right now and don't be surprised if Taylor or Pavlik fight pick other fights next...

That's why it would be a good fight for Taylor to take because Pavlik will force him to ****. Taylor at this point needs one of those type of fights for his credibility to get good again. I know he is undefeated, but I think most of us get frustrated with him because he could be so much better. A Pavlik fight would be a true test of what kind of champ he is and gain him respect win, lose, or draw. Pavlik deserves the fight and Taylor needs it.
