    the calzaghe-kessler soap opera continues

frank warren has just been interviewed on radio 5 and claims to have accepted an offer from palle for joe to fight kessler in denmark in september....

however, he accepted on tuesday but has not had details of the contract yet which he expected with 24 hours of acceptance...he is going to give palle until the weekend.

all taken with a pinch of salt.

Warren contacted Palle on Tuesday accepting the offer of $5 million to fight Kessler in Denmark. Palle has not responded so far, only the Danish Media has contacted Warren.

If Palle does not respond in the next few days, it will prove Palle is full of ****. It will show that he was bluffing all along and not expecting Calzaghe ever to fight in Denmark and was only pushing for $5 million so that Warren would better that offer for Kessler to fight in the UK>

Im hoping this is true, but with these two promoters who knows. Great move for Joe though if it does happen for the fact that he is taking the fight in Denmark, which gains him a lot of respect in people's mind including mine. Then if he wins even more respect is coming his way, really puts him in a win win situation unless he get totally worked over, but I doubt that. The atmosphere in Denmark should be amazing. If this turns out to be true not only will it be a great fight and answer the question of who the best SMW in the world is, but it will also be a good day for boxing.

Was it john Lennon who said life is what happens when you're making plans? It seems Calzaghe has lived these last 6 years doing just that, but not getting very far.

Well, it's hard to fight anyone with a big name when their the ones ducking you. The only person who had the balls in America who had a big name was jeff lacy. He may have lost, but atleast he had the balls to get in the ring with Calzaghe.

Possibly, but it seems to be broken promise after broken promise, to still be saying he wants to fight in America for at least six years is pretty naff, even if he fights a nobody, do in the US if he wants exposure over this side of the Atlantic. The top US fighters at around 160-175 won't duck him IF he fights in Uncle Sam's back yard, he doesn't seem up for it though, despite his spiel.
