Yeah the same people rate marciano over tyson also, lol,

Seriously, Joe Louis and Mike Tyson arent given enough credit imo, louis's skills were well before his time, he only lost to marciano when he had a zimmer frame and lived had to be fed through a straw.

Trust me, i had this discussion with my best mate once,

We reckon in about 10 years Valuev is gonna be on peoples all time HW list

"He only lost once, he nearly beat marciano's record"

        Give it time.

        lol.

I respect Mike's fight game but he was destroying a bunch of bums. Not saying he wouldn't of beat Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield and some others but 95% of those dudes he KOing were journey men who had day jobs. Also Ali would have beat the **** out of any version of Mike Tyson that would have gotten put in the ring with him. A prime Larry Holmes might have beat him to.

I've seen Lewis at his peak KOed by McCall and struggle against others, but Tyson at his peak dominated everyone he faced.
If you think Lewis was at his peak in 1994, then there is no point in carrying on this thread.

Was he at his peak when he was KOed by Rahman, a few years later?

I don't mean to sound like a Tyson hater, but he looked impressive against average opposition, not the stuff of legend.
Tony Tucker like many of Tyson's past opponents fought only to survive. That's why they would clutch him every chance they had because they didn't want to get hit.

yep, unfortunatley most of them couldnt last the full 12 without being hit, that why i cant see lewis winning, im not sure he could be offensive and go 12 rounds without being hit clean.

The Pinklon Thomas KO is my favorite Tyson KO because he's literally "chopping the tree down" in that fight...
