apparently UFC fighters get paid peanuts according to Tito Ortiz

Q: Controversy always seems to follow you around. Why do you think that is?

A: I couldn't answer that. I guess I've fought for what I believe in as a fighter and as a businessman. Whether it's talking smack to build my fight, or against the company because they weren't paying me enough. People say Tito's being greedy, but I don't think it is. I put my life on the line stepping in to the octagon, and I think what it comes down to is getting what I deserve. De La Hoya got something like $25 million for his last fight. Mayweather got $20 million. As a main-eventer here, we're making a quarter-million per fight, and that's just ridiculous. That's being taken advantage of and undercut. I've always fought not only for myself, but for the fighters of the future. If it wasn't for me, a lot of fighters wouldn't necessarily be getting what they're getting now.

Boxers get paid more because of how long the sport has been around. Boxers deserve to get paid more anyway.

Tito is 100% correct, the UFC takes in a ****load of cash through live gates and PPV's and pays the fighters peanuts. Dana White and the owners must be raking in the dough. The day will come hopefully where all the fighters will revolt and stop fighting for UFC until they get paid what they're worth. I recall a UFC card and the guys on the undercard were paid around 5-10 000. Now take into account travel, training, etc, etc expenses, and figure how much the UFC makes off PPV shows and live gates and tell me the fighters aren't getting ripped off big time!!! Dana white is a snake oil salesman and very good at his craft, his bosses must be very proud of him and their profits off the backs of these poor fighters!!!!

And this is the same guy dissing on Arum and King. What a hypocrite! Bob and Arum at least are not run by shareholders with no morals. King and Arum made a lot of people rich and they are two of the dirtiest mofos promoting but then you put Dana and his board of directors next to them and they seem like angels. **** Dana and his bald logic.
