is every fighter that has lost almost all rounds 1-6 supposed to act like he was injured and quit?? cuz if that is the case we would have alot of crappy fights with alot of cowardly fighters.

Quiting with a supposed broken jaw when he was being completely dominated and didn't stand a chance.
Glenn is an idiot. Nonito is miles away in skill and heart compared to his brother. This is a good match.

I agree. And as much as I like Vic, if he doesn't revert back to what made him the biggest threat to any flyweight on the planet, we might see Mijares-Arce all over again. Vic's gotta ditch that crabwalk bull****, and get back to walking mutha****a's down. If so, then he beats Nonito with room to spare, and that's no slight on Nonito, who I think is a very good boxer.

More germane to the thread- Pong is full of ****, plain and simple. I was reading an old Ring magazine article today, and oddly enough there was an article on Pong - same exact quotes "I want to fight in the US", expressing disappointment in the Arce fight falling through, etc. Meanwhile, he's had his **** on auto-pilot for the past 3-4 years.

Wake me when he gets his passport stamped.

          I sure hope so...

          should be an exciting fight.

VIC by brutal KO 8-Rounds or less.

I don't think pong will ever fight outside thailand and gary has to live with it.

The fight with Daisuke Naito stands out in my opinion. The thing is, Nobody pays the guy to leave Thailand with the exception of some japanese promoters, which is why he never comes out here in the first place. The guy is good, even against ****ty competition you can see hes a got good technical ability which is something that Vic might struggle to overcome. Wongjongkam would be the best opponent Vic has faced.

It doesn't bother me that he stays in Asia. I mean, you fight where the money is, especially down in those weights. My issue is that he's perfectly content with bunting his way to 20 defenses, never seriously pursuing bigger fights. It seems that the norm for him is, ho-hum title defense, then a post-fight interview where he vows to (and usually in this order):
                - get to 20 successful defenses
                - fight in America
                - finally unify the division

Maybe Pong winds up fighting Koki Kameda, as it was yet another rumored bout in the past. That would be huge, bigger than any fight that can be made in the States and a fight in which HBO or Showtime should look into covering (though they won't)

No offense but that was nearly 10 years ago which makes it completely irrelevant. If Darchinyan's "last hand picked opponent" was Cristian Mijares ... then it would be relevant.

If Darchinyan fancies it so much why doesn't he go to Thailand for this fight?
