Forget the report, Richie Woodhall and that other dude whose name i forget were live ringside, on five live. i listened it live on five live before i watched the fight a few hours later online.

Woodhall had it 117-111 Mayweather, and he said it was rediculous for that judge to have it 115-113 De La Hoya,

And woodhall aint mayweather's biggest fan, bbc aint pro mayweather, they think Hatton has a chance against him etc.

Anyways 117-111 from a guy who was ringside.

    Lederman had it 116-112

I mean, we had these people who scored the last round for oscar cos of that flurry at the end, when mayweather almost had him down, he hit DLH with a straight right in round 12 and DLH legs were gone, he was easily winning that round up to the last 5 seconds or so, how can people score that Round for de la hoya?

    lol. rediculous.

However, just because some rounds were close does not mean that any knowledgable, informed fan should score them incorrectly.
THe fight was competitive, but in terms of a round by round basis, not very close.
      Easy, your maths?

Its impossible to have a score of 117-112 isnt it?

This report has it as a draw. I hasten to add that the BBC is a farce of an organisation anyway.
That was poor scoring IMO, but I was thinking of Sky Sports scoring the fight 117-111, not the BBC.
        My mistake.

Its called a 10-10 round my man.
Ill need to watch the fight again to ensure what round it was, but Floyd didnt throw enough, and Oscar didnt land nearly enough.
Floyd showed the better defense, but Oscar controlled the ring.
When neither fighter deserves to win the round, I score it even.

I had this discussion with my best mate, he says you cant give even rounds. (i think he means unless very nessecary)

I kinda stopped scoring even rounds myself, i tended to give out alot of 10-10's before that.

            lol.

              hes wrong.
I only think rounds should be scored even when neither fighter does enough to win and doesnt deserve a 1 point advantage.
In fights like DLH v Mayweather, Hopkins Taylor and other fights where you have one agressor whos throwing more and controlling the ring and another defensive/boxing specilist who throws less but lands at a higher precentage.
I used to score alot of even rounds for Pernell Whitaker fights, because oftentimes he would make his opponent look ******, but he didnt do enough to win the round either.

In this case you give the round to the guy who lands at the higher percentage, its accuracy

                right?

I don't agree with people sucking on fighters and thinking no one in the boxing world couldn't beat a certain person. Every boxer can be beaten if paired up against the right opposition. Hell, someones style could cause a problem for a fighter. A fighter could be paired up against someone with like 10 losses and they could be undefeated and still lose. Styles make fights, no fighter is unbeatable.

100% correct. Its funny, most of the arguing over close fights here comes down to one person coming in saying "my guy did these two things" and the other guys says "my guy did two other things". No one knows what is more important.
