Abraham looked terrific last night

His performance shows that he's definitely one of the elite in the MW division. A rematch with Miranda next would be great and if Pavlik doesn't get Taylor next he should fight Arthur for his first shot at a title. Looks like there could be even more exciting fights in the MW division coming soon.Comment

What do you guys think about his power? This is what Demers had to say.
"Abraham is a good puncher and he caught me with a single punch. Maybe I should have put a knee down when he threw his punches and the fight would have lasted a little longer.
"But I wanted to continue then he caught me with a big right hand and I was shaken.
"Abraham is very powerful and strong. I knew before he was a great champion and I noticed it again in the ring. He did well to beat me."
The only thing which I beleive he must change is his fighting in Spurts. But then again this fighting style is winning him fights so I won't complain.Comment

Middleweight Division
Abraham's turning it up in the third round was impressive. I thought his war with Miranda was FOTY in 2006. His fighting style, technically sound while still being aggressive, is much more entertaining than the Cory Spinks hit and run tactics.
Middleweight is very good at present, with Abraham, Pavlik, Sturm, Mora and Taylor. There are likely some great matchups coming our way in the future.Last edited by Steelhammer86; 05-27-2007, 03:55 PM.Comment

Unlike most technically skilled boxers, Abraham has an excellent body attack, which stands him in very good stead against anyone in the division.
He's going to be a little smaller than Taylor & Pavlik, but he's got the skills to make up for it.
Put either bout as a toss-up myself, & favour him over Sturm.
