Maybe I am wrong but I think Taylors style has been fairly distict in his last few fights. Ever since Taylor won the title he has become a "stick and move" type of fighter, relying on hand speed and scoring points. I think that style is will be tough for Pavlik. Maybe I have forgotten about a particular match but I don’t remember him ever bringing to fight to anyone since winning the title.

Like I said, I am a fan of Pavlik's but I just don't agree with all the people that see this as an "easy" fight for him. Good point on Pavlik's jab by the way, I think a lot of people miss that aspect of his repertoire.
I think Taylor has done thing well in some of his fights in terms of style. Buyt I don't believe he fully committs to it. He loses focus of what needs to be done at times. But this will be a great fight. This fight will be huge. Pavlik is still undefeated and so is Taylor.

Taylor's knows he has been dissapointing in his last few bouts. Pavlik knows this and will try to take advantage of it. And Taylor is fully aware that Pavlik will try to go out there and take his head. That sounds like a recipe for a great fight. Taylor will take this fight, he's too nice of a guy to say no to Pavlik lol.

Wright didn't fight his typical fight against Taylor, I guess you either didnt see it or thats the only Wright fight you've seen. So yeah because I think Pavlik would come forward, throw a lot of punches and press the fight much Wright did against Taylor .

Taylor would not stand in front of Pavlik and continue to simply come in the front door all night, he would be moving and throwing angles at Pavlik. I do see Pavlik pressing the issue, but I also see the faster Taylor being able to pot shot Pavlik virtualy at will at times through the fight.

For Pavlik to win it is he who should be showing angles instead of his usual "front door" approach to fighting. I saw Pavlik getting tagged by Miranda, but Miranda didn't have the pop or the movement to keep Pavlik off of him, Taylor at least has a strong jab (when he uses it) and definately as the latteral movement to make things tough for Pavlik.

In this one, I see Pavlik getting busted up in the face, and Taylor winning by a TKO late in the fight when Pavlik can no longer see. Then again, it could be Taylor who would be in for a long night -- which is why I don't think the fight will happen....

          taylor's afraid of pavlik...

Merchant: " What do you think of Pavlik "
Taylor: " MUCH RESPECT, YOU FOUGHT A GREAT FIGHT, MUCH RESPECT! "
Merchant: " Do you wanna fight pavlik"
Taylor: "Um, well, I don't know, I'll fight whoever for the most money..."
Merchant: " So you're giving yourself an out?"
Taylor: "Yea. I'll fight anyone for the most money"

He responded 'yea' to merchants 'are you giving yourself an out'

          taylor's afraid of him.

Taylor has never handled pressure well.....I believe Pavlik would stop him in the late rounds.

How could you possibly imagine Taylor knocking out Pavlik. He may win by decision, but there is no way he will knock Pavlik out that is the most ridiculous proposition ever.

I don't think Taylor will even win the fight. He hasn't proved anything in his career. He's fought some good competition in Winky, and Hopkins who he never convincingly beat. If Winky can pound on JT then I can only imagine how badly Pavlik would beat on him. Pavlik by round 7 TKO.

Pavlik is a very exciting fighter, but i think he is being slightly overhyped right now.

Do I think he will beat Taylor? yea, probably.

But is he the savior of boxing? nope.

I think Calzaghe and Pavlik beat Taylor. They throw too much for Taylor to handle. What fight has Taylor fought that keeps up with how many punches Calzaghe and Pavlik can throw?

He is definantley being overhyped right now considering he hasn't fought really good competition yet, but that is not to say he can't live up to the hype.
