All of whose effort? Frank Warren did a better job of promoting Hatton than the Ingles did representing Witter. Not to mention the fact that in Britain it's far easier to promote the humble everyman than it is to promote the spiteful underling, which is a role Junior Witter has seemed only too happy to play.
Hatton: "I'm Convinced I Can Beat Mayweather"

rofl, Mayweather was calling out De La Hoya since he was at 135. He was calling out Oscar for the past 5-6 years.Guys have priced themselves out of fighting Calzaghe for YEARS, yet they dont seem to get much criticism for it. Evidently Hatton knew that he wasnt ready to fight Maywhether at the time. I didnt see PBF challenging DLH 3 or 4 years ago. In boxing sometimes you know that you arent ready.
Its the comments like "Hatton should not be fighting people like Maywhether or Mosely...Hatton shouldnt even think of getting in a ring with Cotto" etc etc, that makes me wonder why the **** people even bother posting here.
He wants big fights. If you think that your favourite boxer is going to knock the **** out of him...then good. But dont say that he shouldnt be looking for fights when you probably spend 90% of the rest of the time on this forum complaining that other fighters arent looking for the big fights.Comment

Were you really rolling on the floor laughing? I hope you weren't. I mean even watching a very funny comedy won't get me literally rolling on the floor laughing, so a comment with which you disagree on a message board making you literally fall on the floor and laugh would mean you probably either have a mental deficiency or some sort of problems with your motor nerves...rofl

Warren as all the stings and Hatton was the protected Golden boy
he aint now cuz he cut the apron strings ie,,warren
Warren only got him 1 major fight 1 major name Tszyu the rest were
Tszyu leftovers and warren only got him that cuz Hatton told him he wanted
out of the contract had he not got him Tszyu..
I Like the role Witter plays
took the Judah fight on 12 days notice and lasted the distance when the
man was a novice.
He deserves props also...Comment

Damn, Mayweather gets some O.J. Simpson type hate on this forum. Hatton will never, on his best day, at a catch weight, on a eclipse of the sun, raining frogs, beat Mayweather. And I'm from Hattons tribe (white). If the moneys right, I think PBF would gladly Gattisize Hattons ass. But Hatton has lost his buzz as far as making fights. So Hatton fan, worry about the fight in front of you. Not the fight your "calling out".Comment

Ricky Hatton is a joke...
It's one thing when you call out a guy's name constantly and he ignores you. You keep calling him out because you want him to fight you. This is what Mayweather did with DLH. He called him out for years. But when the contract was offered to him, did Mayweather look at it and say you have to pay me $30 million to make this fight? No, he just signed on the dotted line because he seriously wanted that fight!
Hatton keeps calling Mayweather's name, but when it was time to sign the contract he makes a ridiculous demand of $13 million. How ridiculous is this demand? Mayweather wasn't even guaranteed $13 million for the biggest fight in boxing against DLH.
I am 100% sure that if the Mayweather fight were offered to Hatton again, he would make the same outrageous demands he did before...Comment

of course sooner or later you can and probably will lose, especially once you hit your 30's.
If Mayweather wants to stay retired, good for him. At least someone has the sense to know it is only boxing, and that there is more to life than throwing your fists up.
How many times have we seen fighters stick around to long, especially for the money, only to lose and lose badly, destroying their health for the rest of their life.
Hatton and Cotto both turned him down, in my eyes, that is a win for Mayweather. To make a person back down without even having to throw your hands is a great victory.
I still think there are some good fights out there for Floyd, but it is his choice to do what he wants.
The problem we have in our society is that we seem to want to build a fighter up/see a fighter rise to the top, and when he gets to high, gets to perfect, we feel insecure and we want to tear him down/want him to fall to show he is human after all.Comment
