He's got a standard... maybe slightly above average chin. I've seen nothing stone about it.

He has been DOWN ONCE in 42 fights and never been KOd.. I think that makes his Chin above average..

Your logic is flawed in more ways than one. Evidence of the Collazo fight is all somebody needs to see to witness that he doesn't have a stellar chin. He wasn't caught with a lucky punch, locked in a corner and sustained heavy punches.... he was getting hit with a steady pace of light/moderate punches and he was ready to go down from 1 stiff shot.

              Did he go down?

              No.

He was rocked more due to fatigue than to having a weak chin.

He has been down ONCE in his career and that was more of a balance thing than due to being pegged with a big punch.

I agree that fatigue was a large factor. However; it's easy to simply post up the stats and say, "zomg he's been down only once!" After Hatton gets in with real competition and takes a decent shot to the jaw we'll get our answer. I feel he has an above average chin but I've never seen anything in his demeanor afte receiving punches to make me feel otherwise.

Collazo might be a "light" puncher.. But he is a Porfessional Boxer.. and Would KO you or me with One SHOT...

Some other Fighters who have been rocked By one punch
                  Floyd Mayweather

                  Oscar de La Hoya
                  Felix Trinidad
Jeff Lacy ECT ECT... did these guys all have weak Chins??.. Or did they just get HIT really well????

He may not have faced too many big hitters, but his style is such that all through his career he has taken a lot of clean punches. Even despite neutralising much of Tszyu's (one of the biggest hitters at that weight OF ALL TIME) threats, his bulldozer style still means that he took more than his fair share of heavy clean punches and it never really rocked him.

Compare this to PBF, who has a style of evasion (ie he rarely gets hit...which works for him) and people are now claiming that HE has a great chin because in one match he actually rolled with a few fairly clean shots. So why should he have a great chin for taking them in one fight, yet Hatton's is weak or 'only slightly above average' when he has been taking them all his career and only ever slightly wobbled once?
