With McCall's punch and chin, I'm still shocked he didn't achieve more. Seems like only a terrific boxer could beat him.

After he beat Lewis, I think he started smoking alot of crack. I think that was his drug of choice. Either way, he has always had a drug problem and thats what held him back in the ring. It's no excuse, but he's a loser because he choose to be a loser.

Maskaev has is probaby one of the best hw's at getting hit with huge clean bombs from his opponents and getting KTFO in the process. Ya think Peter will hit 'em with any clean shots?

McCall may have been a loser back then, but he's been pretty busy lately and has had 10 fights since 2005, yet he doesn't get much attention these days. Actually, he's got a June 16 scheduled bout with SSS which may be for the #1 WBC hw contender spot. IMO, he's paid his dues for his 'mishap' against Lewis..

I would like to see him get a fight with oleg once he gets beat by pete to see if he can still hang with decent heavyweights, if he beats him perhaps a shot at the title then he should retire.

Oliver McCall knocks out a young Oleg Maskaev. Say what you want about the heavyweight division, but it stands out from the other divisions in that everyone seems to beat everyone. Well, apart from a select few.

that was olegs fifth professional fight,,,he was wayyy too inexperienced at that point in his career. that was ridiculous matchmaking

oh please. orlin norris got the better of him but they gave it to mcall. he had a very good chin but he was only a descent puncher and had a lousy jab

yeah mccall's corner kept telling him to be defense cos of bruno's power by the time he did start coming forward it was to late, although he nearly had bruno out he was holding on for dear life at the end.

He is fighting for the WBC internaional title in a few weeks, which will earn him a world title shot at the winner of Maskaev-Peter-Vitali.
