Boxing and UFC just featured on Outside the Lines

The topic was whether or not MMA will take over boxing. Obviously not a foreign topic here. They interviewed Dana White and Lou Dibella. White calls it the most exciting form of fighting there is, and says "we're comin baby". Dibella said that both sports are definitely headed in seperate ways, and he looked a bit worried eventhough he said boxing will never go away. White also said that people in boxing are scared because of the new generation of sport.

I saw that they showed some of the clips of Liddell vs Johnson last night from their 1st fight. It was entertaining but still somehow still ended up with 2 big men wallowing around on the mat. i'm just not into that no more, that's boring too me. UFC is for the young and as soon as you mature, it is no longer interesting. It is simply reality WWF and i don't like wrestling no more.

Dana white has no class, the UFC reality show just showed his organisation up, 2 contestants on the show got into a brawl at the shows house, Dana said in an obscenity laced tirade at them that it made mma look like a bunch of thugs! yet he didnt edit the footage out the show, the controversy and ratings from that incident are more important than the pure sport to them, its the natural progression of wwe. A punch is one thing but for a supposed profesional to drop someones head into concrete is obscene.

There's nothing wrong with MMA. People who love boxing shouldn't be offended or scared of it's success. Poeple will always watch boxing.

That was pretty funny. They just looked like any bum on the street fighting.

I agree, the ultimate fighter is a good show. The fights are still not very interesting, but the show makes them alot more dramatic. If the contender would have been like that, boxing would have alot more mainstream coverage.

I think The Ultimate Fighter is the only reason why the UFC is enjoying any measure of success.

He didn't edit it out because he's showing Sims, Noah and Lobster as who they really are. Dumb white guys who are just in it for the TV. Noah had an out. He could have walked away but he didn't. It's his own ****ing fault he fought.

He didn't edit it out because like many other sports(I'm not sigling any sport out) you're going to have idiots and morons who do ruin it for everyone. These guys fought under their on volition and pretenses. And now they're paying for them.

If he did edit it out, he would have been just as guilty as those three guys and he would have lost a lot of credibility. Even though I hate Dana, I'm pretty glad he didn't.
