    Margarito, Williams speak!

WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito (34-4, 24 KOs) and mandatory challenger Paul Williams (32-0, 24 KOs) spoke to reporters today to discuss their long-awaited showdown at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California on July 14. Margaito stated that "the Tijuana Tornado is taking Paul Williams in his path." Williams stated "I plan on stopping Margarito." Regarding the famous sparring session between Margarito and Williams three years ago, Margarito stated that when Williams was asked to continue he refused. Williams said he damaged Margarito's eye and hurt him to the body before Margarito's pulled him out. Margarito is training in Los Angeles, Williams is training in Puerto Rico.

going by last performances i got to take williams. i'm a fan of margaritos but, williams looks to be a monster inside the ring, if he can stand a margarito body attack the whole fight and can take a margarito punch, he'll swarm margarito like a hive of killer bee's..

the first time i saw williams fight i was like " good god, this kid is a killer! " and i still think that today, williams goes in and gets busy in a hurry.

if margarito is a slow starter, which he is, he is going to have a hell of a time with williams.

for margarito's sake he is going to need to take williams in deep waters and try and drown him, i don't think williams been in a tough fight that went the full distance. margarito could certainly take him there.

i'm picking williams by UD over always good and exciting margarito.

Williams TKO 9TH round. This will be a brawl hopefully like Pavlik vs. Miranda but a little more even.

Cant wait for the Winner of the Margarito vs Williams fights the winner of the Cotto VS Judah fight! I think Who ever Wins both fights should be on the top 10 P4P list.

Is there any chance that Margarito and Williams both try to throw this fight so that they don't have to get their ribs broken by Cotto?

If Williams chin holds up, he'll cruise to a wide decision. I don't really care who wins this though because both are a big step down from the Mosley, Cotto and Judah's of the division.

                    Williams by brutal TKO.

Margarito is over hyped and starts slow. Williams is a non stop punching machine. Reach...size...beard...you name it. No he doesnt have one defining punch, but yes he can throw all of them perfect.
