Israel "Magnifico" Vazquez and his manager Frank Espinoza have chosen Joe Goossen as their trainer for Vazquez's huge rematch on August 4th against WBC Superbantam weight champion Rafael Marquez. Vazquez was formerly trained by Freddie Roach. "Joe Goossen is a well respected trainer and a very knowledgeable person," said Espinoza. "He's also a great strategist. I am a big Vasquez fan, and he only has a punchers chance in the rematch. Marquez is the most complete fighter I have seen in years under 130 pounds. His accuracy and power is amazing. I think it won't be as close sadly for Vasquez. Raf is in a league of his own at this point imo. When Ring brought up DeLeon as a challenger to him recently I pissed myself laughing.
