    Is Floyd Burned Out?

Seriously? Alot of people think he will still fight a bunch and others think that if he doesnt fight these other guys then he's a punk but Im thinking Floyd is burnt out. Think about it, dude has basically been a boxer since he's been 2. Even if you hate him, you have to admit that he's probally the hardest working guy in the sport and takes his job seriously. Now he's 30 years old and all he's ever known or really done is boxing. I think he is seriously losing the love for the sport now and its probally hard for him to get up for fights. He still loves the money & fame so thats why I think he would fight someone like Tito or Oscar again but I dont think he loves boxing like he use to. Now its just a job to him. Also, sometimes you fight so hard to get somewhere and once you get there your done. I think he's been great for a long time but never got the recognition or PPV fights and once he reached that level then where do you go? You lose what you were fighting for.

Be real, do you guys really think Floyd is scared of guys like Cotto & Hatton? Even the haters have to admit that Floyd genuinley thinks that he would easily beat them. He's not ducking those guys. He just doesnt have the love for it anymore. Like MJ when he 1st retired. The bad thing is that I have a feeling that Floyd will be off for like a year and start missing the sport. Id hate to see him come back like 18 months later and looking totally different. I have a funny feeling that its going to happened like that. I think he's going to retire and in 18 months he'll fight a guy like Cotto if he keeps winning or fight someone like Williams if he looks like this unbeatable freak. I honestly think Floyd just feels like its time to do something different and that he's getting sick of boxing, e****ally when he gets ripped all the time. That wears on you too and it definatly affects him even if he doesnt want to admit it. I really dont think he's that hungery anymore. He's just real good and trains like a machine so he's still good enough to win but I dont think he has that same fire for boxing anymore. I mean, he did legitimatly try to fight Shane before the Oscar fight. Dont tell me now that he's suddenly terrified of Mosley. All he's ever wanted is the fame, to be seen as the P4P best guy in the sport, too get the big money fights, and to fight on PPV. He's accomplished all those goals now.

On 24/7 they talked about how all he has known is boxing. 30 years later it starts to wear on you. I think he really needs a break but as a fighter you really cant do that because you may never be the same if you take 2 years off, e****ally if your 30

Burned out from what? He doesnt have a very busy schedule compared to most boxers, IMO.

It could be possible because on 24/7 his family talked about how Floyd from the time he was little all he did was box. They said that Sr. had strict rules on him and how he couldn't eat certain foods like sweets and stuff like that. I wouldn't be suprised if he was. Where I live a lot of my friends were wrestlers and some of them did it from the time they were young and once high school was over some of them tried to go onto college, but most of them called it quits because they said they wanted some time off.
