Former welterweight, junior middleweight champ Jose Rivera wanted a fight, and promoter Don King delivered one. He presented Rivera with a July 7 bout against former champ Daniel Santos in Bridgeport, Conn. The fight would be part of the undercard to WBA 154-pound champion Travis Simms meeting Joachim Alcine.
