bernard Hopkins is a great fighter and i have tons of respect for him, But i dont see him beating winky, I just think winky will outbox him because bernard just doesnt throw enough to keep that right jab of winky off him. Im picking 8 rounds to 4 or 7 rounds to 5 a close victory for winky.

yeah i'm with you on this one.... i think hopkins is going to come out strong but i think his workrate will drop off. winky has one of the best jabs in the biz it will stall hopkins attack then winks will go to the body to stall em. it will almost be like de la vs hop except without the body shot. I could almost see hopkins getting old over night. If winky come prepared like he normally does except this time with the understand that he can gain respect across the board... he'll break hopkins down and finally make him look old. remember fight night round 2 trailer hop vs wink...... not gunna happen. Wink by UD. I don't think it will be a ko casue they work together...... i wanna see someone get knocked out!

I would love to see Bernard pull this one off,but I agree with you.I see the fight playing out in a similiar way.Winky's going to simply outwork him IMO.Comment

i actually have a hard time seeing wirght beating hopkins, with height, weight, and reach all in hopkins favor it's going to be an uphill battle for wirght. not to forget hopkins is known for being a tough nut to crack, only favored HBO fighters get any kind of love against hopkins, other than that you're on your own.
also hopkins is known for never tiring, which winky has been known to do before. and hopkins also is known for putting together really good fight plans against his opponents..
i would normally say hopkins has more experience but in this case winky is right up there with hopkins as far as experience, so no real advantage there. but that doesn't necessarily help wright either.
hopkins knows how to neutralize his opponents jab and has great ring generalship. i like winky a lot, but his footwork isnt as good as hopkins, winky plods forward with zero side to side movement, hopkins preys on that like a hawk.
winky does have enough tools to beat hopkins, but i think hopkins is a smarter fighter and in better condition and will win the fight by UD.............Comment

lets put it this way:
Better jab: winky
good jab dictates pace of fight as well as the range and rhythm.
Better defence: winky
He can cover up and pick off shots, he did it against Taylor.
Better stamina: winky
He has Always shown up for every fight plus he's the younger fighter. he's gunna train his ass off, the more hops talks more fuel to the fire.
Hight advantage: Hop
Yup he has the hight advantage, but winky is the naturally bigger man he's stocky and built for stamina and work rate.
Smarter fighter: tie
The both are very cerebral fighters it's gunna be a chess match.
Power: tie
Winky works with the accumulative power shots, but he doesn't put his body into it, it keeps him defensively sound. hopkins rolls into his power shots, but ya need to land them when in an exchage with someone who leaves themself open. both guys have not KOed anyone of recent.
Chin: tie
both guys have great chins and haven't shown any signs of weakness.
Body:???
hopkins has never had an accumulative body attack when he has, he has fought inside to take away this advantage and grinded out victories. Winky has the better defense of the two.
Over all better offense: Hopkins
but not by much, he uses body movement and shiftiness to beguile his opponents, but you need big pauses in the fight, a good jab can thwart that. Winky uses a steady work rate and constant pressure to pile up the points.
Weight: non factor
winky walks around at 180-170 not gonna be a problem. he's not going to have to cheat or drop weight like he normally does. this weight could actually work in his favor!
It's gonna be a UD but a SD for TV purposes make it more dramatic but a win for Winky. not an easy win but he will win.
we must remember De la hoya was owning hop till abound round 8 when. de la out boxed the bigger man and used speed, Winky is deceptively fast, Taylor knows that. i can't wait!!!!!
